The Creighton Model FertilityCare System

Top

Are you:

  • Trying to conceive but it's not happening for you?

  • Thinking about trying for a baby and want to ensure your body is in good shape?

  • Wanting to learn how to reliably avoid getting pregnant without using artificial contraception?

  • Approaching the menopause and confused about what is happening to your body?

  • Interested in learning about your natural fertility and monitoring your gynaecological health?

  • If you answered "Yes" to any of these questions, that you could benefit from learning the Creighton Model FertilityCare System (CrMS).

Most women don't understand about the workings of their cycles of fertility and infertility. Every woman has the right to know how her cycles function in order to understand the way her body works.

The CrMS teaches women how to recognise and chart biological markers that are essential to her health and fertility. These 'biomarkers" tell the couple when they are naturally fertile and infertile, allowing the them to use the system either to achieve or to avoid pregnancy. These biomarkers also highlight potential problems in a woman's gynaecological health.

The CrMS was developed in USA in 1976 and the system was first used in 1980. The research on this system has continued up until the present day and it has an extraordinary degree of scientific understanding and validity. It is now available in the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe.

    Your Fertility - Naturally

In the CrMS, fertility is regarded as a part of health, not disease. In order to make a baby, three things need to be present: good sperm, good eggs and good cervical mucus - something that is often overlooked. By following the CrMS, you will get to understand your own cycle which, more often than not, won't be the standard, text-book 28 days that the medical profession bases all of its calculations and investigations on. As with any sub-fertility investigation and treatment, there is no guarantee of the outcome, but by helping you to understand your cycle, you are more likely to feel empowered and actively involved in the process.

On the other hand, if you are looking for a method of family planning that is totally natural and when used correctly, is 99.5% reliable, then this system will work for you too. It is ideal for people who do not get on with hormonal contraception such as the pill or implants, as there are no side effects - and no worry about the long-term effect such methods may have on your fertility.

The CrMS is easy to learn, simple to use and relatively inexpensive. It does require your time, energy and patience in order to become a proficient user of the system but once learnt, it will equip you with a gynaecological tool for life. Your partner is encouraged to become actively involved in the charting process too, thus making it a truly shared system.

    NaPro Technology

The CrMS is also the basis for the new women's health science, NaPro Technology (Natural Procreative Technology), which works in cooperation with your reproductive and gynaecological systems. When these systems function abnormally, NaPro Technology identifies the problems and cooperates with the menstrual and fertility cycles to help correct the condition. It works in harmony with your body and avoids the ethical dilemmas associated with modern assisted reproductive techniques. It can be used to help couples who have had unsuccessful IVF (or similar) treatment.

NaPro Technology is administered by a qualified doctor who has received specialised training. I can refer you for this treatment once you have completed three months of charting - this is necessary to enable the doctor to assess your situation. Please be aware that NaPro treatment is only available to married couples, but CrMS is available to everyone regardless of marital status.

Who can benefit from using CrMS and NaPro TECHNOLOGY?

These approaches can be used to treat sub-fertility associated with:

  • Short cycles

  • Long cycles

  • Irregular cycles

  • Following hormonal contraception (the pill, the coil, implants, etc)

  • Pre-menopause

  • During breastfeeding

  • Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS)

  • Endometriosis and adhesions

  • Sub-fertility due to one blocked fallopian tube

  • Low sperm count

  • Infertility with previously failed IVF or IUI

  • Anovulation (failure to ovulate

  • Unfortunately, sub-fertility caused by the following conditions cannot be treated:

  • Absent sperm count (azoospermia)

  • Premature ovarian failure

  • Blockages of both fallopian tubes, unless corrected by microsurgery

  • Established menopause

  • Want to know more?

Your first step is to attend a free, no-obligation intoductory session. I encourage you to come as a couple, as it is important for you both to understand the system so that you can support each other. This session will take around 90 minutes. It will give you enough information to start charting straight away, or you can take some time to discuss it as a couple before making a decision.

If you decide to enrol in the teaching programme, you will purchase a set of materials from me, including your chart and instruction manual, which costs £30. We will schedule a series of follow-up sessions, ideally at fortnightly intervals for the first two months, thereafter spacing them out as your confidence and proficiency grows. Instructions for using the system evolve with each session, so it is important that we try to stick to a schedule. Each follow-up session costs £40 and lasts around one and a half hours. I will be available in between times to provide you with support as and when needed.

    SPECIAL OFFER
As I have recently qualified as a FertilityCare practitioner, I am looking for six couples/women to work with during the supervised phase of my practice. If you would like to take advantage of this, then I am offering your follow-up sessions at half-price, i.e. you will only pay £20. Please contact me soon, as places are going fast.

Please contact me if you would like more information or would like to arrange an Intoductory Session. I am available in Reading for consultations on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday or in Oxford on Monday or Wednesday. Please email me at fertility.care@btconnect.com for all fertility related enquiries.
